#7 Bright red apples

Novenber 19th, I went apple picking with my father.

I went to Sato apple orchard in Gosen in Niigata.

Picking apples in this area is not allowed.

At Sato Apple Orchard, customers choose their own apples and pick them themselves.

I went there two years ago in October.

Two years ago, we learned that sweeter apples do not appear until November.

We took only "Fuji" which is a sweet variety and in season in November.

But the bigger and glossier apples had already been taken by other customers and we had a hard time finding them.

My father and I said, "Maybe that one would be good." and we picked 6 to 7 apples each. (Actually, my father took most of them because I was not tall enough...)

It was a lot of fun.

When we got home and ate the apples, we picked ourselves, how sweet they were! We still have some left at home and are looking forward to eating them.
